SATs Results 2015-16

In January 2015, the school received a letter from the Minister of State for Schools congratulating staff, governors and pupils on the 2014 KS2 results. Horspath School was amongst the top 100 performing schools for sustained improvement in achievement at level 4 or above.


National Association of Able Children in Education (NACE)

In February 2014, Horspath School was awarded the NACE Challenge Award. This award is recognised by external bodies, such as Ofsted, as a mark of quality provision for all pupils, with a focus on more able pupils.

“Most teaching is good and some is outstanding… Behaviour is almost always good in lessons and it is often outstanding.”

“Leaders and managers are effectively focused on improving the school and doing all that they can to ensure that pupils achieve well.”

South Oxfordshire Sportshall Athletics Tournament

In January 2016, Horspath School Athletics team competed at Wheatley Park for a place in the county final. We finished in the top two securing us a place in the final – due to take place at the end of February.  The squad eagerly awaits battling against the top teams in the county.  The winners will go on to represent their county at the School Games in the summer.

Wheatley Partnership Area Sports Competition

In July 2014, Horspath School were the winners of the Wheatley Partnership Area Sports Competition for the second consecutive year.
